MATT TAYLOR BACKS SUSSEX MEMORIAL FOR FALLEN SOLDIERS.

Matt Taylor the independent candidate for Brighton Kemptown in 2015 and former Royal Military Policeman, has welcomed the call for a Sussex based memorial to remember Sussex based soldiers killed serving in Afghanistan.

As 13 years of British occupation of Afghanistan comes to an end, ten young men from Sussex were among the 453 British soldiers and civilian contractors killed in the line of duty.

Joining calls from the families of the fallen, Matt Taylor adds his voice for a permanent memorial to be erected in Sussex as a focal point to remember our fallen heroes now that the war is over.

Matt Taylor said from his election office in Peacehaven, “Our fallen heroes and heroines must never be forgotten. They made the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our liberty and it’s only right and proper that Sussex honours their sacrifice by remembering them with a permanent memorial in Sussex.”
